Over the course of this era, the business has secured many construction contracts, including contracting projects, design-build projects and renovations, for both historic buildings and contemporary structures in need of repair. In order to be successful, the firm must priorities the safety of its personnel, maintain maximum output efficiency, and adhere strictly to the budget set by its clients.

Defense attorney Patrick Shin agreed to a deal with the government, and in exchange, pleaded guilty to violating Section 1001 of the Internal Revenue Code by making a false statement. After pleading guilty in 2006, he was sentenced to three years of probation and had to pay a fine. More than nine years after his conviction was finalized, Shin is attempting to get it overturned. He’s already paid his fine and finished his probation; therefore he’s looking for a common law writ of Coram Nobis or auditaquerela.

It is Shin’s contention in his Verified Petition for Writ of Error Coram Nobis, or Alternatively, Writ of AuditaQuerela, that the Government should have revealed to him previously exculpatory evidence. Because the government concealed information indicating that a Navy engineer participating in the procurement process could not have testified as to an important aspect of the false statement allegation, Shin argues that his conviction should be overturned.

Coram Nobis is denied by this court in Shin’s case. Delaying its decision on his request for a writ of auditaquerela, the court allows him to file an optional additional memorandum addressing this alternative writ.

Throughout the years, the owner of Nan Inc. has given significant donations to a variety of charities that benefit the less fortunate members of society, particularly children.

In addition to providing money and people, Nan Inc. has made a significant effort to improve primary school facilities in the Philippines. This rural Philippine school is approaching completion of its renovation project.
