Moreover, they had directed offices to shut operations, due to which people are working from home. For many, work from home (WFH) is a new and difficult concept.But, by following a few productive tips, youcan focus efficiently on your tasks.

De-stress while you WFH

You can always de-stress while working from home by practicing meditation, yoga, tai chi, or any other calming exercise. If you are staying alone, the most difficult part of working from home is loneliness. You cannot chit-chat over coffee or lunch or have impromptu conversations with your colleagues due to the current scenario. Schedule regular calls with friends and relatives to combat isolation and elevate your mood.

Tips on working from home

  1. Get ready

You may feel like starting office work immediately after you wake up. However, take the time to shower and change from your pajamas into fresh clothes to begin the day well.

  1. Have a dedicated workstation

Ideally, you should work in a room without any disturbances or temptations, like a bed, television, or refrigerator. Getting the right furniture like a desk and an ergonomic chair will help to prevent backache and other issues. Be organized and keep things like pens, chargers, and diariesclose at hand, as you may need them at any time.

  1. Sanitize your workplace

Before you start work, clean all the surfaces with a disinfectant. Ensure you disinfect your desk, phone, keyboard, and mouse in the right manner. Frequently wash your hands and use sanitizers to prevent the spread of the virus. Ensure to not touch your face.

  1. Exercise your eyes and neck

Sitting at your desk for long hours may impact your eyes and neck. Eye exercises, such as cupping, rolling, and resting by focusing on a distant object every 20 minutes for at least 20 seconds can reduce the strain. Head tilts and head turns are good ways to exercise your neckwhile you sit at your desk.

  1. Stick to a proper timetable

Follow the schedule related to your official working hours. Just because you are operating from home does not mean that you should work round the clock. Log out from the system on time and spend some quality time with your loved ones, just like you would while working from an office.
